COVID Never Takes A Break. Researchers Aren’t Either.

Though many may act as though COVID-19 is behind us, it is still very much alive and can continue to mutate or change—and be a risk to populations that have little or no immunity against it. This is because as it spreads it has a greater chance of creating new strains of the disease, which may be more or less severe than earlier versions.

The more people we can keep up-to-date on vaccinations the better, as this will help to keep new variants from emerging. Right now, researchers are seeking participants from all ethnic backgrounds to join local research studies to see how well investigational booster shots can protect against the dominant COVID variant: OMICRON.

Together, we have the ability to help the scientific community as it strives to protect us all from this highly contagious disease. Omicron booster options are needed! Rest assured that if you are eligible and choose to enroll, study staff will monitor your health during your participation. You may also leave a study at any time, and all personal information will be kept private.

Take the next step to see if you may qualify for local research studies enrolling healthy adults who had their primary series of COVID shots (with or without a booster).

COVID-19 update — we remain open.

For the safety of both staff and participants, we require our research sites to be COVID-19 SMART facilities. That means they use best practices to reduce virus exposure and are dedicated to ensuring they remain open and available for the research of investigational medications.

COVID-19 SMART steps we are taking to ensure safety include:

  • Greatly increased availability of video office visits
  • Ensuring social distancing measures are taken in all waiting areas
  • Continuing the practice of cleaning and disinfecting exam rooms thoroughly between every visit
  • Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for all staff members at our health clinics

AcurianHealth helps connect people with research studies that offer treatment under development. Since 1998, AcurianHealth has referred 1 million study candidates to 800 studies in 70 countries.
